So So Sunday

It has been one of those days. I have had heartburn all day. The forecast was for showers on and off all day. Call me stupid... but don't you need clouds in order for it to rain? The sun was out most of the day and it's just now getting cloudy. I decided to go for a little drive around noon time. I didn't want to go too far but wanted to be by the ocean. I chose Revere Beach. I drove up Route 1A (Revere Beach Parkway) and found a parking space. I decided to take a little walk along the beach. It was low tide, the sun was out and no breeze. Needless to say I didn't stay long.

The land in the background is Nahant, a very small community connected by a small strip of land.

This picture is facing north looking towards Swampscott. I was suprised that there weren't many people at the beach. There were signs up posting "No Swimming" due to the rip currents and strong undertow from Hurricane Bill.

Red Cross rescue building on Revere Beach. I have never been to this beach when it is packed with people, but judging from the length of the beach, the hundreds of small snack bars and vendors I can imagine how crowded it gets.

Picture of Boston taken from a small park in Swampscott. It was beginning to get very hot and extremely humid so I decided to cut the trip short and head home.
